We are all set for the Rocket Launch on Saturday October 25^th  and look forward to a fun and exciting afternoon. 

Location:  Poet’s Corner, 300 Wadsworth Rd, Arlington, MA

Time:    Launching will begin at 1:45 pm for approximately 2-1/2 hours, Helpers please try to arrive at 1:15 pm

• 2:30 Bears
• 3:15 Webelos I & II
• 4:00 Stragglers & Pack-up

The above times are a guide for your Scouts Den.  Everyone is welcome to come and watch for the whole afternoon or just part of it. It will take time to prepare and launch each rocket. We understand that many kids have other activities on Saturday and we will try to accommodate everyone.  Let the Launch Crew know if you are in a rush when you arrive so we can keep things moving.

Rules:

• One Scout and a launch coordinator at a time in each launch area. Vocal count-downs       from 5 are required during launch.
• Rocket Inspectors will not allow rockets with really weak, crooked, or missing fins to be launched (for fear they will go in a crazy direction), repair materials will be available on hand.
• Scouts must stay behind the safety line if they are not launching.
• Scouts can chase down rockets as long as they don’t touch the hot end or run into the street. Only the rocket owners are allowed to pick up their rocket.
• We’ll make time at the end of each hour for people who want to launch special rockets.

Volunteers: We need 2 people at a time on the assembly table at 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30, and one at each of the 5 launch pads.  This pretty much means that if you’re coming it would be great if you can commit to one or the other role for an hour.  

Parking:  Please DO NOT park in St. Camillus parking lot in case there is an event taking place.  Please park on Dow Ave, Shelley Road located on the West side of the field or in the lot adjacent to the tennis courts. Be aware, depending on winds the rockets may come down near this lot.

Uniform: Requested, but Optional
