Hi Scouts,

At the December Pack meeting (Dec. 10th, 7 pm), we would like the scouts to bring items for donation to 2 different charities.

The first charity is Cradles to Crayons. We would like to donate a box of winter hats, glove and mittens for children ages infant through teen.

The second charity is AnySoldier.com. We hope to send a few care packages to soldiers who have put wish lists on this site.

The requesting soldiers share the packages with their platoon/unit, to help those who don’t receive anything from home. It is also helpful to soldiers in areas where there is no PX and/or no dining facility.

We would also like the scouts to work on letters/drawings to include in the packages to the soldiers.

Commonly requested toiletry items:
baby wipes
Qtips
razors
shampoo, conditioner
body wash or soap
feminine hygiene products
hair gel
ponytail holders
deodorant
soap
toothpaste
chapstick

Other items:
granola bars, trail mix
beef jerky
gum and candy
ball point pens (black only)
puzzle books (sudoku, crosswords, etc)
magazines, newspapers and books
microwaveable snacks
spices, seasonings
AA or AAA batteries
coffee
scented dryer sheets
socks
phone cards (international)
school/office supplies

Also requested are funny toys or games to pass the time, as well as cards and letters from people at home.

Parents: For the cards/drawings, if you have Christmas cards, construction paper, markers, pens, etc that you could bring to the meeting for the scouts to use, please bring them.
