Cub Scouts! Do Your Best! Do Your Best!

About the Cub Scouts

Cub Scouts provides a positive, fun, and educational environment for all boys and girls in Grades K – 5.

Cub Scouting is fun for the whole family.  In Scouting, boys and girls start with their best right now selves and grow into their very best future selves. It’s fun, hands-on learning and achievement that puts kids in the middle of the action and prepares them for today – and for life.  You can check out our New Cub Scout Family Information Guide.

Cub Scouting is “doing.” Everything in Cub Scouting is designed to have the scouts doing things. Activities are used to achieve the aims of Scouting: character, citizenship, personal fitness, and leadership.

Interested in Scouts BSA (for boys or girls in 6th – 12th grade)? If so, contact our BSA partner organization, Troop 313.

About our Pack

Pack 313 is a vibrant, fun pack. We hold events and activities throughout the school year. Events include Cub Scouting traditions like the Pinewood Derby and Blue and Gold Dinner, hikes, and events tailored to the interests of our Scouts such a movie night. Pack meetings have activities for boys and girls such as the Egg Drop Challenge, Crafts Night, and Fitness Night.  Pack 313 is a recipient of the Pandemic Perseverance Award for continuing outdoor activities throughout the pandemic (except for the lockdown period).  We also earned the Gold “Journey to Excellence” Award last year.

Webelos I

Helping others is a core value of Scouting, and Pack 313 gives back to the community in many ways. Recent community service projects include a food drive, and a charity drive to benefit local charities, and a park clean-up.

Meeting Dates and Locations

Pack meetings

Pack meetings are held at the St. Camillus Parish, 1175 Concord Turnpike, Arlington, MA.  Meetings are generally on the first Friday night of the month, 6:30-8:00 pm.  They are either indoors (in the basement of the main church building) or outdoors (on the far side of the parking lot or on the field directly adjacent to the parking lot).

Den meetings

Each Den will have one or more den meetings per month during the school year; times and locations are announced in advance by our Den Leaders.

Special Events

The Pack holds special events nearly every month, including a rocket launch, hikes, and the ever-popular overnight/sleepover.
